Stop Smoking Now
Skilled therapist Ariel Garten uses NLP, Neuro Linguistic Programming, to help you stop smoking. Successfully.Often one or two sessions, combined with a solid follow-up strategy, is enough to keep you smoke free. NLP is a form of psychotherapy that very quickly and effectively gets to the core of the problem, which works powerfully at the levels of the conscious and subconscious. It can involve hypnosis if you choose.
Alt-health proponent Tony Robbins claims that he can have people stop smoking using just one exercise. Ariel employs that one method (it’s from NLP) as well as 4 or 5 others, to create goals, get to the root of why you smoke, uncover your unconscious desires and the deeply rooted secondary benefits you gain from them, strategize and implement substitutions, and get you on your way to health.
Smoking is a push-pull. And the pull goes beyond merely a significant physical addiction. If you quit without analyzing and preparing for all the ‘pulls’, and all the secondary benefits you gain from doing this thing that you dislike, it may be very difficult to effectively and permanently quit. By satisfying the pulls, including those secondary gains, we can create a situation in which the cigarette can become obsolete.
When quitting smoking, people who are the most successful typically get help, and plenty of it. Unfortunately, 80% of smokers who quit do so without being in any support program – and studies show that sadly 95% of these self-reliant quitters fail, and return to smoking. It's the same rate of recidivism as with heroin. With a 95% chance of failure without an external program, you may wish to recognize the significance of help.
Get friends and co-workers on board to motivate you and keep you on track. The more resources you use, the more successful you will be.

"Ariel is fabulous. I had been smoking for 8 years. When I was ready to quit, one three hour session with Ariel combined with my desire to finally do away with it, and I haven’t smoked in 6 months. She identified the holes, and gave me the tools to solve them. And I’m now going to the gym regularly! Thank you." - A.S.
